the distance in miles,y, traveled by a car in x hours can be shown by the equation y=55x. What is the slope of the equation? What does the slope represent?

slope =
(change \ \ y)/(change\ \ x) in this case
(y_1-y_0)/(x_1-x_0)} when y = 55x
(55*1-55*0)/(1-0) slope = 55, you can chose any
n then you will get
(y_(n+1) - y_(n))/(x_(n+1) - x_(n)). Remeber that there are equations like sqare
x^(2) where for every x slope is different
