2(2x + 10) = 3(x + 6)

Let's use the distributive property.
This means that you have to multiply the term in front of the parenthesis with every term inside the parenthesis.

After using the distributive property, you get

4x + 20 = 3x + 18

Now, subtract both sides by 3x

x + 20 = 18

Subtract both sides by 20

x = -2

That's your answer. Have an awesome day! :)
