What characteristic of beans enable you to use them as models for atoms of different elements?

Just as is the case of the isotopes of an element, the individual masses of beans of the same type are very similar but not identical. Also, similar to atoms of different elements, the average masses of different types of beans are different. These characteristics enable us to use them as models for atoms.
