Atomic radius  of  a  metal  is  a  half  of  the  distance  between  the  nuclei  of  two  metal  atoms  in  the  metallic  closed  packed  crystals. Atomic  radius  of tin  atom is    half    of  2.82a  which  is 1.41a , hence atomic radius of tin (Sn) in  tin  metal  is  1.41a
