How do I solve a quadratic equation using the Quadratic Formula?

The quadratic formula is useful for when you cannot factor a quadratic equation into it's roots (since they are decimals or fractions).

A standard quadratic equation is in this form; ax²+bx+c=0

The quadratic function is
\frac{-b+- \sqrt{b x^(2) -4ac} }{2a}

Insert the values of a, b and c into this equation to find out the roots.
