Answer-Because it is divided into eight parts:

the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine. Keep in mind that the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder also help digestion. The six organs work together to performs: ingestion, secretion, propulsion, digestion, absorption, and defecation.
