Long story short, The Crucible is a story about a little town named Salem where the puritans lived and started their own thing there. After awhile, people were starting to accuse other puritans ion being witches and then there was these trials going on trying to figure out if the convicted people were witches or not. Which was a lose lose situation because if they didn't prove they weren't they would die but if they admitted they were witches, they would still die regardless
