The factor of y must be the same:
-4x + y = -6
8x - 2y = 14 ):2
-4x + y = -6
4x - y = 7
Now you can add them.
-4x + y = -6
+ (4x - y = 7)
------------------------
0 = 1 -------> there's no solution, because the both graphes are parallel
