Answer : The chemical formula for the anion present in the aqueous solution of
CuSO_4 is,
SO_4^(2-)

Explanation :

The chemical formula of copper sulfate is,
CuSO_4.

The dissociation reaction of
CuSO_4 in aqueous solution will be:

CuSO_4(aq)\rightarrow Cu^(2+)(aq)+SO_4^(2-)(aq)

From the reaction we conclude that, 1 mole of
CuSO_4 dissociate in solution to give 1 mole of
Cu^(2+) ion (copper ion) and 1 mole of
SO_4^(2-) ion (sulfate ion).

In the reaction,
Cu^(2+) ion (copper ion) is a cation and
SO_4^(2-) ion (sulfate ion) is an anion.

Hence, the chemical formula for the anion present in the aqueous solution of
CuSO_4 is,
SO_4^(2-)
