Asexual reproduction results in an identical offspring to the stem cell because it occurs through the mitosis process. In this process there is no genetic recombination. The duplication in the DNA produces two daughter cells with the same DNA content as their progenitor.

They are genetically identical or clones. There is no genes, no genetic variation.
