The external angle of a regular hexagon = 360 / 6 = 60 (because the sum of the external angles of any polygon = 360 degrees)
As the extended line from the base of the hexagon is parallel to the base of the trapezoid this extended line will make an angle of 20 degrees with the lateral side of the trapezoid.( alternate angles).
Therefore m < x = 60 + 20 = 80 degrees Answer

Each arm of the hexagon makes an angle of 60 degrees with its neighbour.

Therefore m < y = 360-60-60-80 = 360 - 200 = 160 degrees Answer
