What does the color yellow mean in the great gatsby?

All of the colors including yellow are a huge thing you need to understand in this book.....yellow and other bright colors represent the fact that whats going on at the time is supposed to be a fun cheerful thing or event....other colors you need to take notice of is when they talk about white on daisy which represents pure while myrtle wears a cream shell which is a off set white color which shows shes not so pure
