You purchase 5 CDs for $9.95 each. The sales tax is 7%. You have $60.00. How much is your change?

Ok, the CD's cost in total $49.75....The sales tax is = 0.07 * 49.75 (multiply them) so the sales tax = $3.49 (don't forget to round up)So now at up the cost with the sales tax...49.75 + 3.49So now you take the $60 and subtract the overall cost....(60-53.24)
Then you have your answer
$6.76
