The answer to this question would be: violet-blue

Carotenoid is colored orange and yellow because that light is not absorbed, thus reflected and made it looks like that. It is same like chlorophyll which absorbing red and blue and became green colored. Then the carotenoid would get benefit with violet-blue light that it can absorb.
