The base of a triangle is 3cm greater than the height. The area is 14cm. Find the height and base of the triangle.

Hello There!

base x height/2 = 14
base x height = 28
Base - height = 3
Base = 7
Height = 4.

the base....b
the height....h
b*h/2=14
b=h+3
h*(h+3)=28
h*(h+3)=4*7
h=4 cm , b=7 cm
