The first of them was the critical economic condition France was experiencing, there were shortages of food and many other basic needs resources and services. The second one of them was that the Constitution approved by him took a lot of power out of his hands, this was good for government and society but bad for the Monarchy. Third, his ability to help solve the problems wasn't effective and in an attempt to preserve power he confabulated with foreign powers to counter the revolutionary groups. Nevertheless, they found out ad he was executed along with his wife.
