Really need help with this question ASAP!!! please HELP ME!!!!

Answer: I believe its A

Explanation: Lichen is a plant, and before the industrial revolution trees used to be white and then when the industrial revolution began harmful chemicals were released into the air making the trees black. Forgive me if I'm wrong.
