The glass rod losses electrons because the silk cloth has a positive charge so it attracts the negative charge of the glass rod. :)

Answer: The glass rod becomes positively charged while the silk cloth becomes negatively charge

Step-by-step explanation:

When you are rubbing the glass rod with a silk cloth, electrons escapes from the atoms of the glass rod, this the glass rod loses electrons and it is gained or accepted by the silk cloth, thus making the silk cloth negatively charged and the glass roof positively charged.

The net charges are equal and opposite charges on both materials.
