Anaerobic respiration converts glucose into energy and by-products like ethanol, carbon dioxide or lactic acid. This is possible because carbon can BE BURNED TO PRODUCE OXYGEN AND ENERGY.
Anaerobic respiration is a process that takes place in the absence of air. This process is also known as fermentation. Lactic acid is produced in the muscles cells during lactic acid fermentation while exercising.
