Explain how predators and prey regulate each others population growth. Give an example.

The more predators eat their prey the prey will decrease in population and the predators will increase in their population.

The predators will feed on the prey which will lower the population of the prey and lower their birthrates, but while feeding on the prey, the predators' growth rate will lower since there is going to be less prey to feed on.
