2. Water molecules are split at photosystem II.

3. NADPH is formed at photosystem I.

When photosystem II receives light energy, electrons are expelled from its reaction center. The oxidized reaction center of photosystem II split water into protons, electrons and oxygen. The electrons released from water reduces oxidized reaction center of photosystem II. The expelled electrons expelled from photosystem I reduces oxidized NADH+ to NADH at photosystem I.
