The Shang Dynasty wine Vessel's were made using ceramic molds built around clay models. The molds were then imprinted with designs from the model. The model would be cut to allow for bronze to be poured into the empty spaces. Each piece was one of a kind as the ceramic molds had to be broken to release the bronze each time.
