A mile is 5280 feet long. So, just take 5280 and divide it by 3 which gives you 1760. Then you take 1760 and times that by 2 giving you 3520 feet. 2/3 of a mile.

1 mile = 5280 feet
5280 * 2/3 =
5280 *2 = 10560
10560/3 = 3520
it is 3520 feet long
