the answer to that question is es medianoche cause you know that if it's 12 it's going to be midnight so therefore the answer is es medianoche. I hope this helped out a little.

for your question I would keep it as simple as possible "mediodía" for 12:00 pm and "medianoche" for 12:00 am.
