Individuals use cost-benefit analyses because it can help them answer questions in their mind to make an important decision. An example of cost-benefit analyses is deciding whether to buy a computer or not. You ask yourself questions like How much does it cost? The cost of training staff to use them. Or one of the benefits is that it could influence their speed in doing their work.

Hope this helps! :)
