Using the formula A=s^2, find the area of the square.

2 3/2 = 3 1/2 ( 3/2 = 1 1/2 + 2 = 3 1/2)


so area = 3 1/2 ^2

3 1/2 x 3 1/2 = 12 1/4

Area = 12 1/4
