How were the american revolution and the french revolution different?

The French Revolution and American Revolution, there are some differences between these two wars. A main difference is the context of the war. The American Revolution was caused by a majority of the America population becoming unhappy because of how the British were ruling them.. hope this helps :))

Both want a change from being ruled by an absolute ruler, both have economic instability from war debt, both have social inequality. And also, both started because of enlightenment ideas. What was the major difference between the American and French Revolutions? The American revolution didn't have the reign of terror.
