Setting up a cabinet is an important precedent because the cabinet members give advice to the President on any issue relating to each member of the government. The cabinet members also show strong and dependable leadership roles in the federal government.

It is an important precedent in setting up the cabinet members because they can provide a strong sense of leadership of which will be of benefit towards other departments that is in lined with the federal government and in a way that will provide the president an important advisors as he or she leads the country.
