False, Byzantium was not eventually renamed Vandalia. It was eventually renamed Constantinople in the year of 330 CE. The roman emperor Constantine I relocated the capital of the Roman Empire from Rome to Byzantium on the day May eleventh in the year three hundred thirty common era. There he named the capital after himself.
