What is 6x+30=3x-42 whats the answer

Just subtract 30 from 6 = 24So x = -24. What I did is divide them both sides by 3.

subtract 3x from both sides
3x + 30 = -42

subtract 30 from both sides
3x = -72

divide both sides by 3
x = -24
