King George III was accused of failing to give assent to laws that would have helped the colonies. In addition, he was accused of taking tactics that would exhaust the colonies into surrendering their authority and complying to his wishes. He also obstructed justice by refusing to give assent to judges and forcing those same judges into behaving in ways that suited him as a condition of receiving compensation.
