George was upset that Lennie did something again that would land them right back where they started. He goes out with the men to find Lennie but he deserts them and knows where to find Lennie as mentioned in the beginning (there was a place they would go to if they got in trouble). George knew what he had to do and even though Lennie had good intentions things never went his way. He ended Lennie's life
