How many days do you have to contact OSHA to file a complaint against your employer if you have been retaliated against for exercising your health and safety rights?

The answer to this question is: 30 days.

If you believe that your employer is retaliated against you like firing, demoting or transferring because of you exercising your right, you can file a whistleblower report to OSHA within 30 days. Then, OSHA will conduct an investigation to the employer. If the claim is right the worker might get their job back before the retaliation.
