How were the values of piety, courage, and industry necessary for the Puritan’s survival in the New World?

it might be argued that the Puritans demonstrate piety through their devotion to God by the use of the Bible and its content a long their lives. Courage might be associated to his religious escape being persecuted so they needed to keep them strong in order to survive. It could be said that piety gave them the values of courage and industry in order to keep on living. the bible said not to fear and work hard.
