you can buy 3 apples at the quick market for $1.08. You can buy 5 of the same apples at stop and save for $2.40. which place is the better buy?

(1.08)/(3)= 0.36
So one apple at Quick Market is $0.36

(2.40)/(5) =0.48
So one apple at Stop and Save is $0.48.

Since one apple at Quick Market is cheaper, your answer would be Quick Market.

at the quick market each apple is 36 cents and at the other shop its 48 cents
so the first shop has the better deal by 12 cents
