A group of galaxies forms a cluster.There are two types of clusters of galaxies.

  • Rich cluster
  • Poor cluster

A rich cluster contains more than thousand galaxies.

A poor cluster contains less than thousand galaxies. Milky way is a part of poor cluster- the local group which has more than fifty galaxies.

Thus, a cluster of galaxies containing very few galaxies is known as poor galaxy.
