What is the difference between |-3| and -3

|-3| = 3
it is always positive.


-3 = -3
it is negative

Hi there!
|-3| actually comes out to a positive 3!
So basically within the symbol, everything is positive let’s just say negatives do not exist there!
It’s basically asking how far away it is from 0! So the difference between the two is one’s positive 3 which is |-3| and the other -3 is a negative!
