Why is scientific notation useful? how is scientific notation used in the real world?

It is useful because there are some numbers that are either way too small or way too big to write out in standard form.And I don’t know the second part.Hope that helps!!

Scientific Notation is so useful is so many ways!!!!
It makes it easier to deal with because the long numbers are converted into smaller numbers. Like for example, 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000045 is converted into 4.5*10^44. Isn't that MUCH MORE simpler?!?!??!
It is also used to find masses, for example, like some metals or substances that have a really smaller mass.
