The Greek system involved a single meeting of all citizens. It was possible because the population of Athens was relatively small and those who could vote were an even smaller number.
So no it couldn't work in a modern day america where anyone could vote and there are millions of people in america.

I don’t believe a Greek-style Democratic system would work in our day and age, because their system involved the getting together of all enfranchised citizens, and there are way too many people in our country and not enough space in one place to hold a meeting that large. Hope this helps.
