Rights that were not listed would be unprotected.

Some people such as James Madison believed that the Bill of Rights was irrelevant because the rights which were not registered would act as defenseless. However whether the bill of rights may be communicative and through, still it will not able to consider for every single right that citizens may want to have, which can drive to some rights which are being unwritten. However, many amendments are made in the present world in the Bill of rights which could defend even the unwritten rights today.
