The football team played a total of 48 games in three seasons and won 33 of the 48 games. Using an algebraic equation where "go" represents the number of games the team did not win; the equations would be set up as this: "go" + 33 = 48. Balancing each side of the equation by subtracting 33; we would be left with "go" = 15.

they played 48 games and won 33
so they lost 48-33 = 15 games
