The answer is letter C which is it is close to land that can grow crops. Most egyptians be alive near the nile as it on condition that water, food, transportation and exceptional fertile soil for growing food. Ancient egypt could not have be present without the river nile. As rainfall is almost non-existent in egypt the floods provided the only source of moisture to sustain crops.
