The answer is the corpus callosum. Significant epileptic seizures have been observed to be caused by opened up, irregular mind movement ricocheting forward and backward between one-portion of the cerebrum and the other, so to help diminish those seizures, Dr. Hauser could take a stab at separating the corpus callosum, the "scaffold" of neural strands that transfers messages between the two cerebrum sides of the equator.
