The particles which represent an ion is the PARTICLE WHICH HAVE 9 PROTONS, 9 NEUTRONS AND 10 ELECTRONS.
A neutral atom must have the same number of protons and electrons, in a situation when the proton number and the electron number is different, that means that the atom is no longer neutral, it has become an ion.
