This is an example of the commutative property because when you are movign the parenthesis, then you are using this property. It is still the same problem, only changing where the parenthesis are.

This is the commutative property of addition

This property is the idea of adding any two numbers in any order you want. For example: 2+3 = 3+2 = 5

In this problem, we have 2.5+12.66 the same as 12.66+2.5
