The Nile River gave people water to drink and to use their everyday lives and there was alot of fertile land around, so farming was really developed. This was extremely important for the Egyptians, because the rest of the African continent is desert and does not possess such powerful water resources.

The Nile River supplied a constant water source and fertile land around it that could be used for farming, which is important because pretty much everywhere else on the African continent is desert
