It takes Mercury approximately 58 days, 15 h, and 30 min to complete a full rotation..

We are going to write the time not in days, hours and minutes, but only hours.

This means that we have to write 58 days as hours and 30 minutes as hours.

1 day is 24 hours, so 58 days are

58*24=(50+8)*(20+4)=50*20+50*4+8*20+8*4=1,000+200+160+32

=1,200+192=1,392 (hours)

60 minutes are 1 hour, so 30 minutes are 0.5 hours.

Thus

58 days, 15 h, and 30 min are (1,392+15+0.5) hours = 1,407.5 hours

Answer: 1,407.5 hours
