How did hoovers and roosevelts approaches to handling the great depression differ

while both president felt that federal intervention was needed, Roosevelt's approach was more liberal then Hoovers. Hoovers felt that too much federal involvement would eventually lead the country into socialism. Whereas Roosevelt decided that government intervention was the only way to help.

FDR believed that federal government should take an active role in the economy; Hoover didn't.
