In performing self rescue, you should swim the shore at the last resort, especially when you've seen a person who have showed signs that he or she is having to have difficulty in swimming or in a way that he or she is already in the state of drowning. It is best to take action immediately so that the person will be of help and to be able to be saved until the last minute.
