Is 1.178 a terminating or repeating decimal

It's a terminating decimal because the guy below knows so.

The guy below says that if the decimal isn't infinite or shows no obvious sign of repetition, then it is terminating.

1.178 is a terminating decimal because none of it's digits continue on forever, it terminates, or ends.
